Main objectives of this project
  • To create awareness among the citizens, industrialists, business people, people in the teaching profession, students, etc. of Bangalore about the current status of eco-system in and around the TG Halli Reservoir and about the need to preserve and rejuvenate the same.

  • To motivate people to plant and grow saplings and maintain the same under this program.

  • To increase greenery and to conserve the eco system of TG Halli reservoir catchment area.

  • To create awareness among general public about environment.

  • To enable public participation.

  • To showcase this as a pilot project, which could be replicated in other places.
Action Plan
  • Qualified experts would orient and train the “TRAINING GROUPS”.
  • The orientation and training material would be prepared.
  • Appropriate “TRAINING GROUPS” would be formed and experts would train them.
  • The training would be conducted in the TG Halli area.
  • The trained “TRAINING GROUPS” would create awareness and propagate the concept of planting trees among the known people during various functions and celebrations.
  • The lecturers would form Eco Clubs in their respective colleges. These Eco clubs would become volunteers to carry out the project plans.
  • Exceptional individuals / groups would be rewarded with “Green Awards” and Certificates of merit.
